Signs from Ultimo’s concert are selling for up to 200 euros on Vinted
Among the signs are panels featuring QR codes indicating the pedestrian routes to the stage or the various exits, as well as the signage used to identify the numerous areas of the concert
Memorabilia from a major concert has always been highly sought-after by fans.
In recent years, it has become increasingly common to see headbands, posters, T-shirts, glow bracelets and other souvenirs collected at concerts being sold online. Ultimo’s fans, however, have gone a step further: in the last few days, on the second-hand marketplace Vinted, the directional signs used to find one’s way around the vast area of Tor Vergata – which hosted the ‘La favola per sempre’ concert on 4 July – have appeared. The prices? Up to 200 euros.
Those signs had been put up to help the approximately 250,000 spectators find their way around an area of 150,000 square metres, divided into six sections, with 46 catering outlets, 48 food trucks, 170 sales staff and 2,000 portable toilets.
The organisation of transport was one of the most criticised aspects of the event. At the end of the concert, in fact, the dispersal of the crowd proved particularly difficult: many fans took to social media to complain about car parks that were far away and poorly signposted, overcrowded shuttle buses and crowd management that was deemed inadequate.
The removal of some of the signs used to indicate routes and directions may also have made it even more difficult to find one’s way out of the area: the very same signs that can now be bought on Vinted.
