Veneto. Raise your glasses (and more) at Villa Sandi in the hills of Valdobbiadene
Cantine Aperte 2026 (30 and 31 May) marks the start of the summer season at Villa Sandi, transforming one of the most eagerly awaited appointments on the wine tourism calendar into a symbolic moment of opening towards a palimpsest of experiences that will accompany the public over the following months. On the occasion of the 34th edition of the event, promoted by the Movimento Turismo del Vino, the villa welcomes visitors and enthusiasts by combining traditional hospitality with a contemporary atmosphere. Music by Max Sciarrone, with live saxophone in the morning and DJ set in the afternoon, designed to make the entrance and waiting for visits an integral part of the visit. The tour continues through the underground tunnels of the First World War and the rooms of the 17th-century villa, in a journey that interweaves history, architecture and wine culture, leading to tastings of the winery's labels. During the summer there are also "Wellness Saturdays", morning appointments dedicated to self-care and reconnecting with nature, with yoga and tai-chi sessions led by professionals accompanying guests on a journey of balance and awareness, immersed in the silence of the vineyards and the morning light. The experience ends with a tasting of the winery's wines, sealing the link between wellness, sustainability and wine culture. The "Percorso al femminile" cycle, scheduled until the end of July, is dedicated to women, including deportment, make-up, perfumes and bon ton, in an intimate and refined atmosphere that culminates with tastings and food pairings. The "Matinées del Jazz" enliven Sunday mornings with live music in the open air, accompanied by an informal food proposal, while the evening musical aperitifs transform the villa into a place for meeting and conviviality, between cuisine, wine and entertainment. And if the history of Villa Sandi can be discovered at La Rivetta amidst the superb Cartizze vineyards where nature is the protagonist, the "Palestra in vigna", a space equipped for outdoor physical activity among the vineyards, freely accessible to all, is not to be missed. While for hospitality there is La Locanda Sandi with its majestic fireplace and rooms immersed in the garden.
