Villa Pamphili: life imprisonment sought for Kaufmann
The Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office has sought a life sentence with three years’ daytime isolation for Francis Kaufmann, the perpetrator of the double femicide in June 2025 at Villa Pamphili.
The man is accused of killing his partner, Anastasia Trofimova, by suffocating her, and, a few hours later, of strangling his daughter, Andromeda, who was just 14 months old. The bodies of the two victims were found in the capital’s park, just a few metres apart. The 47-year-old is charged by Public Prosecutor Antonio Verdi with aggravated double murder.
