Two degrees in economics, a special focus on the world of fashion and aesthetic medicine, right-wing political acquaintances and varied entrepreneurial activities. Maria Rosaria Boccia's eclectic life in the spotlight is effectively summed up in the photos on her Instagram profile, which after the Sangiuliano case explosion counts over 32 thousand followers and is constantly growing.
The tall blonde 41-year-old born in Pompei still presents herself, in her social biography, as president of the Milan Fashion Week despite the Lombard capital's Fashion Chamber's warning against using that brand name. Another recurring title is that of president of the scientific committee of the Parliamentary Intergroup 'The Culture of Beauty', an intergroup led by FdI deputy Gerolamo 'Gimmi' Cangiano, who promoted the 'beauty festival' in the Ligurian city during the last Sanremo festival.
Beginnings in the clothing trade
.Someone who has known her and her family for years is the mayor of Pompeii, Carmine Lo Sapio. Her parents run a men's fashion boutique in the Vesuvian town, her brother Marco a wedding dress atelier. At a young age, she too set out on the clothing trade, which, however, at some point began to get too narrow for her. "Three years ago,' recalls Lo Sapio, 'she came to town with an association of dairy product entrepreneurs, during the city festival held in October, and donated these products to the participants who came to their stand. Last April, during the Festival of Beauty that we organise in Pompeii, she brought university lecturers and doctors, promoting various screenings for certain diseases, all very well organised'.
Double degree in Economics
According to what is reported on his Linkedin profile, Boccia has a double degree in economics: one from the Parthenope University in 2005 in Business Economics, then a second in Economics and Management from the Pegaso Telematic University. In his Instagram bio, he introduces himself as follows: 'I would like to explain to you what it feels like to create emotions, but it's impossible!'.
The photos in the Chamber
.Emotions aside, pictures of her in the Chamber have been multiplying since 2023. In May she participated - with Forza Italia MP Annarita Patriarca - in the presentation of a motion calling for VAT exemption for cosmetic surgery and medicine treatments. In June at the presentation of a charity festival. Boccia commemorates Berlusconi on the day of his death ("He made the history of this country"), then in July he is back in the press room at the Chamber to talk about the Mediterranean diet and tumours. In August a photo with Minister Lollobrigida at an appointment at the excavations of Pompeii, in December again at the Chamber of Deputies with the head of Agriculture for the birth of another intergroup, 'Mediterranean Diet: Nutrition, Prevention & Culture', in which Boccia qualifies as 'chairman of the organising committee'. Then the aforementioned 'Festival of Beauty', in February this year in Sanremo with Cangiano. Until the last few months, with the flurry of photos alongside Minister Sangiuliano.
