All the flavour of an Easter among the treasures of Naples

Panorama da cartolina su di una Napoli primaverile

The reopening to the public, after many years, of the 16th-century Biblioteca dei Girolamini, a walnut casket with a frescoed ceiling containing almost 160 thousand ancient volumes, and its largest cloister used as an orchard, is now just a few days away. In the same way, the Fontanelle Cemetery, the former ossuary where the rite of the "anime pezzentelle" or the adoption of abandoned skulls for protective purposes was held, is about to be made accessible again. In the meantime, Easter in Naples knows how to bring endless joys: at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte one can admire, among many masterpieces, the porcelains of the Metamorphosis exhibition by Giampaolo Bertozzi and Stefano Dal Monte Casoni on display in the Royal Apartments, as well as take new walking paths among those traced in its artistic forest. While in the new underground station designed by architect Benedetta Tagliabue at the Centro Direzionale, one is catapulted into a world of material colours before stepping out under the large wooden dome. Here, then, are some of the many 'artistic' experiences one can have in Naples in this early spring.
