Once disembarked, it is the crystal-clear sea that welcomes you. Tomari beach, a short walk from the harbour, resembles a natural swimming pool surrounded by a quiet bay and here one can indulge in swimming and sunbathing. The shallow, clear waters, also ideal for snorkelling, allow a clear glimpse of the sandy bottom. The silence, broken only by the small waves, creates a timeless atmosphere. Another wonder is the beach of Ohura, with its wide fan-shaped inlet, ideal for visiting at sunset, or the beach of Nakanoura, especially suitable for snorkelling. On the other side of the island is Ishijirogawa beach, which is convenient because it is close to shops and facilities and from here one can walk to several spas. But it is at sunset that this place is transformed: the sky turns red and the rock formations emerge like silhouettes against the light, providing a view worthy of a painting. From the Kambiki viewpoint, one can enjoy the view of Mount Fuji and the Izu Peninsula under the blanket of the starry sky.
