In recent years, catering has embraced an evolution that goes beyond taste, turning the meal into a multi-sensory experience. Thus a new trend has emerged that combines the pleasure of food with the analogue magic of music on vinyl. Restaurants where you can listen to 33 rpm records are conquering the cities most attentive to new trends, offering settings where retro design, carefully prepared cuisine and the warm sounds of the record player merge into a unique atmosphere. There is even a specific name to describe them: they are the so-called 'kissa jazz' - bars where iconic music is played.

The choice of music thus becomes an integral part of the menu: vinyl selections accompany each course, evoking emotions and memories, creating a dialogue between flavours and sounds. Vinyl, a symbol of authenticity and a return to the essential, thus becomes the beating heart of a new hospitality, more intimate, refined and engaging.

Casa Bohème

Casa Bohème has just opened, Luca Guelfi's new bistro that promises to become the address of choice for those seeking atmosphere, style and refined flavours in San Pantaleo, between the gentle hills of Gallura and the sparkling sea of the Costa Smeralda. It is the mature fruit of over thirty years of experience by the Milanese entrepreneur, who here signs his most personal and theatrical creation: a restaurant that winks at Parisian and New York bistros, with vintage furnishings, contemporary art pieces, posters, photographs and sculptures by Sardinian artists. Even the bathrooms become art-house cinemas, with Stanley Kubrick's films projected on a continuous loop, a declared homage to his visionary genius.

Casa Bohème

But the true soul of Casa Bohème pulsates strongly thanks to music: the soundtrack of every moment is carefully studied by Matteo Guelfi, Luca's son, who has created dedicated playlists and DJ sets strictly in vinyl, an authentic celebration of the warm and material sound that only this medium can give back. Because music here is not just background: it is a total sensory experience, a return to the timeless fascination of the act of putting the needle on the record, an invitation to slow down and really listen.

Lubna Listening Restaurant Bar

The beating heart of an ambitious urban regeneration project a stone's throw from Porta Romana, Fondazione Prada and Fondazione Ica, in Milan, Lubna is the new listening restaurant bar signed by the team of the starred Moebius. It is located in a former industrial area of about 3,000 square metres, returned to the city after decades of decay, and transformed into a lively, welcoming and identity-driven place. Lubna, born as a hybrid space, proposes selected music, in an authentic "listening bar" philosophy that invites you to slow down, to really listen, to find yourself. The soundtrack becomes an integral part of the evening, with vinyls, author's selections and a sound designed to accompany each moment with warmth and intensity. At the helm are names already familiar to enthusiasts: chef Enrico Croatti, Michelin Star 2025 with Moebius Sperimentale, who here abandons all avant-garde ambitions to rediscover an "intimate DNA" linked to Romagna and the flavours of home, and bar manager Giovanni Allario, who has taken Moebius to the top 50 bars in the world.

The kitchen is divided into three acts - crudo, brace, gelato - and is entirely built around the fire: smoke, embers, ash become language and raw material, thanks also to an exclusive Josper grill still unseen on the Italian market.

Truth and Wave

In the beating heart of Brera, Veramente is a place that welcomes you, that envelops you with the warmth of authentic flavours in the Vinyl Room, a new space born from the desire to celebrate Italian music and transform every meal into a sensory journey. Sit at a table surrounded by more than 450 original vinyl records, which are not just decorations but custodians of stories, memories and melodies that have made entire generations sing. The Vinyl Room is designed for those who love to get carried away: between one dish and another, the notes oflegendary hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s awaken dormant emotions, ignite nostalgia and make every corner vibrate with life. It is a place where food is not just nourishment, but ritual and sharing, and music is not just background music, but becomes a companion for the evening.

Veramente

Onda is the new Milanese address that combines music and conviviality in an elegant environment with an international spirit. Designed by the Solum studio, it is conceived as a versatile place: a cocktail bar with a real listening room, where the pleasure of listening blends with that of good drinking and socialising. Making the sound experience unique are the vintage Altec Lansing loudspeakers from the 1970s, appreciated by audiophiles for their warm and powerful performance: listening to music here is like experiencing an intimate concert.

33 Rounds

.

Amidst the narrow streets of Borgo Pio, a stone's throw from the Vatican, 33 Giri is the listening bar that is rewriting the concept of Roman conviviality: a refuge dedicated to music on vinyl and the genuine sharing of dishes and stories. Three sisters - Andrea, Michela and Federica Mercuri - set up this project with passion and vision, combining design, art and community spirit. Andrea, an Art History graduate and former creator of Edicola Erno, brought the same curatorial attitude here, transforming the venue into a meeting point for creative minds.

33 Giri a Roma

Music director is Carlo Scordo, DJ and producer, who wanted to bring the authenticity of Northern European listening bars to Rome: shelves full of carefully chosen vinyls (over a thousand), daily sets on turntables and a calendar of guest DJs at weekends. Music is at the heart of the project: always on, never in the background, as integral to the experience as the food and drink.

Vigna delle Rose

Vigna delle Rose is the new hospitality project by Casa Setaro, immersed in the vineyards of Vesuvius in the National Park and Unesco Biosphere Reserve. Here, renovated old rural buildings host a restaurant, winery, tasting room and a panoramic roof with a view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Among the special experiences is "Wine and Vinyls, the Thursday evening aperitif at sunset with tapas by the chef, the winery's wines and a vinyl DJ set, to experience the magic of the area in a unique atmosphere. An appointment that has now become iconic and will continue with frequency in the future due to the great appreciation of vintage vinyl.

Antonio Chiodi Latini

In Turin there is a place where vegetable cuisine becomes pure art: it is the realm of Antonio Chiodi Latini, an absolute master of vegetable cuisine. On his counter he always keeps several carefully chosen vinyl records: mostly jazz, but not only. He puts them on while cooking, matching them to the dishes or the mood of the moment, creating a continuous dialogue between music and cuisine that makes the experience even more personal and alive.

Vinili sul bancone di Antonio Chiodi Latini di Torino

At the restaurant, a profound and radical choice: eliminating animal products and starting again with vegetables, treating them in the most natural way possible. It is a work of study, experimentation and discovery, which allows him to go to the heart of what grows in the garden and enhance it with technique, passion and creativity. It is no coincidence that he defines himself as 'the cook of the land': a cook who really wants to understand the raw material, tell its story and transform it without betraying it.

Mogo HI-Fi Bar & Dining

Mogo is the new listening bar in the heart of the Isola district - we are back in Milan, in the booming Scalo Farini area. Signing the gastronomic proposal is the chef Yoji Tokuyoshi, already known for Bentoteca, together with his partner Alice Yamada. Born in a former industrial area that housed the Turin brewery Edit, Mogo is a space where music plays a central role, thanks to a very high quality sound system that transforms listening into an immersive experience.

Mogo

The project is a collaboration between some of the most vibrant creative realities in the area: Polifonic, an international music festival, and Burro Studio, a communication agency with a strong musical imprint.

Mogo's cuisine is not intended to be purely Japanese, but offers shareable dishes that reinterpret Nipponese recipes with local and international ingredients, in a contaminated and personal style. The offer is divided into three moments: a quick and informal lunch, dinner - the heart of the experience - and weekend brunch.
