11 MARCH - It emerges that Andrea Sempio is again under investigation. The DNA found under the victim's fingernails would be incompatible with that of Stasi. A week earlier Sempio had refused to submit to the saliva test and the swab, which was then compulsorily ordered on 13 March. The charge for him is murder in conspiracy.

14 MAY - Searches were ordered at Sempio's home, in Voghera (Pavia), at his parents' home, in Garlasco, and at the homes of two of his friends, Mattia Capra and Roberto Freddi. Among other things, mobile phones and PCs were allegedly seized. In Tromello (Pavia), a canal was dredged in search of a possible murder weapon: several objects were found, including a hammer, which will be analysed.

15 and 17 MAY - Sempio, twice in less than a week, presented himself to the Carabinieri at the barracks probably for the release of a mobile phone taken by the military as part of the new investigation.
