Marche. Places, landscapes and villages under the banner of IncantoMarche

IncantoMarche is now in full swing until 8 August, with a tenth edition that holds particular symbolic significance. The festival, which grew out of RisorgiMarche – an event organised in the wake of the devastating 2016 earthquake that struck the Marche region – is now an inclusive, supportive and cultural network, capable of bringing together projects, associations, social initiatives and community-based activities. The event offers an opportunity to discover a beautiful region, as it will traverse the Marche with 19 events across 10 municipalities, combining artistic quality, a focus on local areas and respect for the environment. The Marche, in all their diversity, remain at the heart of the festival. Each event stems from the encounter between an artist, a venue and a community, providing an opportunity to discover landscapes, villages, stories, local economies and forms of hospitality. In keeping with the festival’s tradition, music is enjoyed in the open air, amongst footpaths, meadows, villages, historic sites and places of great natural and cultural value. Among the highlights of this year’s edition are: Neri Marcorè, the festival’s founder, with two events in the ‘Incontro con…’ series; Filippo Graziani; Zoe Pia and Tenores di Orosei; Frida Bollani Magoni; Emma Nolde; Joan Thiele; I Patagarri; Mario Tozzi & Enzo Favata; Paolo Jannacci; Flavia Massimo. The festival will also host numerous artists from the Marche region, including Daniele di Bonaventura, Roberto Lucanero, Veronica Ferraioli, Federico Bracalente, Alfredo Laviano and other key figures in an open, diverse and locally inspired musical mosaic. A festival that brings together big names from the Italian music scene, new artistic sensibilities, young talents, original projects and encounters capable of restoring an authentic, direct and deeply human dimension to music.
