Not just flowers
In addition to the scent of the gardens, Eltville offers the elegant rigour of its historic centre and the proximity to other treasures of the Rheingau, such as the Eberbach Abbey (famous set of the film The Name of the Rose), a masterpiece of 12th-century Cistercian architecture that, with its Romanesque and Gothic buildings, belongs to the most significant monuments in Germany.
