Route 66 celebrates its centenary

From the deserts of San Bernardino County to the famous Santa Monica Pier, California will celebrate its legendary stretch of Route 66, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Travellers will be able to visit historic roadside attractions, stay in retro-style motels, explore a new Visitor Centre and appreciate cultural installations dedicated to the rich history of the 'Mother Road'.
