The cycle path: 33 kilometres of blue

One of the jewels in the crown of contemporary Sanremo is the Flower Riviera Coastal Park Cycle Path. Built on the old route of the railway line, this cycle and pedestrian path is one of the longest and most spectacular in Europe. Flat and accessible to all, it runs for 33 kilometres from Imperia to Sanremo surrounded by flowers, mountains and the sea. The track, which can be used by pedestrians, cyclists, runners, rollerbladers and rickshaws, is part of the largest and longest Tyrrhenian cycle path, a 741 km route from Ventimiglia to Latina. Along the cycle route there are several opportunities for refreshment, stopping at the various 'bicigrill' built by recovering the old stations, or entering the picturesque and colourful alleys of the towns crossed
