Balconies overlooking the Adriatic: from Atri to Tortoreto Alto and Silvi

The route slopes gently down towards the coast, offering unique panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. Atri, a city of art and millennia-old culture, captivates visitors with its cathedral and underground passages, nestled amongst the badlands and overlooking the sea. Strolling through its streets means immersing oneself in a rich architectural heritage, ranging from Roman ruins to Renaissance palaces. A little further north, Tortoreto Alta offers medieval views and a timeless tranquillity. The medieval village is divided into three areas. To the south lies the village of Silvi, situated on a hill overlooking the Adriatic coast and offering breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding hills. The historic centre is clustered around Corso Umberto I, the main street and hub of daily life, followed by a network of narrow streets winding their way through the ancient houses.
