The beach facilities at Cala Masciola and Lido Bambù

A Cala Masciiola continua la stagione dei bagni

Cala Masciola is a mouth of azure, a jaw that swallows the waves and spray within its rounded structure, fringed by pure white awnings. Set against the backdrop of the extraordinary Messapian city of Egnazia – surrounded by tombs, the streets of the Roman municipium, imposing defensive walls, and the remains of the acropolis and harbour – this Beach Club conveys a sense of profound harmony and lightness. It weaves together the nearby trails along the Via Francigena, treks amongst the thousand-year-old olive trees of Savelletri, olive oil tastings at the 18th-century Maccarone farmstead, and cycle tours to Monopoli led by experts on the hidden paths and trails between the coast and the fertile countryside of Borgo Egnazia, which now enjoy a more serene and peaceful atmosphere. Lido Bambù in Capitolo is also best enjoyed in September for its Tex-Mex botanical setting set against the sand, the quality of its Mediterranean-style cuisine infused with fresh exotic touches, and the crystal-clear sea, which offers the chance to stroll for hours along the shoreline, watching the ships sailing out beyond the Italian Adriatic.
