The charm of Cannes, between Croisette and Mediterranean experiences

Elected again in 2025 (for the fifth consecutive year) as the best European destination for hosting and organising festivals and events at the World Travel Awards, Cannes has a charm that goes beyond the days dedicated to cinema that have made the Croisette famous, where from 27 February to 1 March the Festival des Jeux is staged, an unmissable event for games lovers. Even in winter, the city does not renounce its liveliness and proposes shows (the Gare Croisette, until 7 February, is transformed into a cultural and festive centre), beaches that are always open, nature itineraries (to the Lérins Islands and the Croix des Gardes park) and cultural events at the Malmaison, the new contemporary art centre inaugurated last January. A few kilometres from Cannes, it is worth visiting Le Cannet, a sort of balcony with a sea view nestled in the heart of the hills that offers the pleasure of walking aimlessly through the picturesque streets of the old village and the Rue Saint-Sauveur, the shops (for those with a sweet tooth, a must is the Pâtisserie Philippe Brito, a true haute couture of chocolate) and the Place Bellevue. Not to be missed at the Bonnard Museum are two sui generis exhibitions, 'The Collections. The time for mimosas has come' (until 31 May) and 'Bonnard - Les Toilettes de Marthe' (from June to October), organised in collaboration with the International Perfumery Museum in Grasse.
