Vespa turns 80, the history of Piaggio's Italian icon
The Vespa World Club
The Vespa myth was born practically at the same time as the vehicle. So much so that, as early as 1946, it prompted many to join together in the name of Vespa. Thus the first Vespa Clubs were born. First in Italia then abroad, a long and passionate history that led, in 2006, to coincide with Vespa's 60th anniversary, to the birth of the Vespa World Club, which brings together the coordination and promotion functions of all the Vespa organisations in the world. Today there are 66 countries with a National Vespa Club associated with the Vespa World Club, and there are over 120,000 members worldwide. Every year, national Vespa Clubs and enthusiasts from all over the world gather for the Vespa World Days that, in 2026, will be held in Rome, from 25 to 28 June.
