It is described by experts as "the most appreciated, imitated and remembered model". Numerous innovations appear: for the first time the 150 cc engine, the 4-speed gearbox, the long saddle as standard, the "fairing" handlebar-chest assembly, wheels with 10" tyres. Vespa reaches the 100 km/hour 'finish line'. The design also changes, with a decidedly more aerodynamic bodywork.
