Aosta Valley. L’Auberge de La Maison: 30 years of sharing and authenticity

In the Aosta Valley, in the heart of Entrèves – the most picturesque of Courmayeur’s hamlets – the Auberge de La Maison, founded in 1996 by the Garin family, but with a history of hospitality in the Aosta Valley dating back to the 1950s, has kicked off its 30th-anniversary celebrations by organising *La Grande Table du Village* in the heart of the small hamlet to pay tribute to the community, the mountains and the art of hospitality. Long a symbol of hospitality, a table over one hundred metres long stretched through Entrèves, at the foot of Mont Blanc: a deeply meaningful gesture in which hospitality extended beyond the hotel’s walls, transforming the village into a natural place for gathering and sharing. Auberge de La Maison, a 5-star haven of elegance and Alpine tradition overlooking Mont Blanc, is today one of the most iconic establishments in the Italian Alpine hospitality sector. Alessandra Garin, the third-generation owner who took the reins of the family business and turned it into a jewel of Alpine beauty, now looks to the future with curiosity and enthusiasm, but above all with a desire to continue making her mark. Thirty years on from its opening, Auberge de La Maison continues to embody a vision of the mountains characterised by elegance, authenticity and time spent together. The hotel, situated at an altitude of approximately 1,224 metres, is surrounded by spectacular mountains and glaciers. It is one of the main gateways to the Mont Blanc massif, a strategic location from which to reach the main attractions, the ski resorts and neighbouring France (Chamonix is a 15-minute drive away). All 33 rooms overlook spectacular natural scenery and are meticulously designed: each has a story to tell, featuring fine fabrics, traditional Aosta Valley furniture, antiques and enchanting paintings. The spa and relaxation area, with views of Mont Blanc, is delightful. As guests wander around the Auberge de La Maison, they discover wonders both big and small. These are the Garin family’s collections: books, posters, antiques, ceramics, porcelain and one of the most important collections of paintings in the Aosta Valley.
