In Courmayeur for ‘Under the Starry Sky’ and the new Brenva Glacier Trek

Whilst ‘Protagonisti’ returns to Courmayeur from 25 July to 20 August – a series of talks and debates dedicated to major current affairs, hosted at the Jardin de l’Ange – the Val Ferret and the Waldensian Church in Courmayeur are among the venues for ‘Sotto il cielo di stelle’. ‘Constellations of Art, Science and Culture’ is a cultural project, spread across various venues in the Aosta Valley, which aims to explore the relationships between art, technology, artificial intelligence, the human impact on space and visions of the future, featuring works by Franco Perrotti and Michelangelo Pistoletto, in which the focus is on the profound connection between nature, inner regeneration and contemplative wellbeing. Also not to be missed in Courmayeur until 21 August is *Les Badochys de Courmayeur: 70 ans de mémoire en mouvement*, a photographic project portraying *Les Badochys*, a folk group that keeps the traditions of Courmayeur alive through folk dances and music (an exhibition spread across Piazza Petigax and the hamlets of Courmayeur).

Courmayeur is not just a destination of extraordinary beauty, but a place that places respect for people and the environment at the heart of everything it does. The Prév-Risk CC project – Risk Prevention and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Espace Mont-Blanc region – aims to provide a structured response to the challenges posed by today’s climate. As part of Prév-Risk CC, one of the main projects promoted by Courmayeur Town Council, with scientific support from the Fondazione Montagna Sicura, is the restoration of a scenic trail offering views of the glacial landscapes of Mont Blanc and its development as a glaciological trail: thus giving rise to the Brenva Glacier Trek, a new themed and educational route that starts from the hamlet of Entrèves in Courmayeur (1,300 metres above sea level) and climbs to the Brenva Glacier Viewpoint (2,450 metres above sea level), passing through the Pavillon di Mont Frety (2,100 metres above sea level).
