Tesla Model S and X cannot be ordered in China
In China, Tesla has halted orders for two ranges: Mode S and Model Y, i.e. the high-end cars produced in the USA, which due to Chinese counter-duties to the tariff barriers wanted by the Trump administration, would be at a price level that is too high and such as to make them unprofitable to sell. For the US company in the hands of Elon Musk, it would be better to focus on the Model 3 and Model Y assembled in the Asian country, which among other things, like all Teslas, are coming under increasing competitive pressure from Byd. Model S, now with many springs behind it, is the flagship of Elon Musk's brand: a five-door sedan almost 5 metres long and 145 cm high. It is available in Dual Motor and Plaid versions, the latter with over 1,000 hp and 0-100 km/h in just over two seconds. On both versions, the claimed range exceeds 600 km.
Tesla Model X, on the other hand, is an SUV just over five metres long and just under five metres high. Original styling solutions include the upward opening rear doors, the Falcon Wing. The Model X is equipped with two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear, making it 4x4 all-wheel drive, with a claimed range of over 500 km.
