All military summits fired by Trump
9/14Timothy D. Haugh, director National security agency and commander U.S. Cyber command
Timothy D. Haugh, director National security agency and commander U.S. Cyber command
Date of dismissal: 3 April 2025. Haugh occupied a strategic double-box: he headed the NSA, i.e. the main US signal intelligence agency, and simultaneously the U.S. Cyber Command, the heart of military cyber operations. An Air Force general, with a career built up in cyber commands, at wing level, numbered air force and joint facilities, he was one of the most sensitive leaders of the entire national security apparatus. His removal - with no public explanation - is part of the broader purge that matured after a Trump meeting with far-right political activist Laura Loomer, who had reported officials deemed not loyal to the president. Along with him, NSA deputy Wendy Noble was also removed.
