Who is required to use the paper FIR?

Producers of non-hazardous waste who are not required to use the Rentri system must use the FIR. The paper FIR must be completed via the ‘unregistered waste producers’ section (at www.rentri.gov.it) or using the company’s own management systems. In the dedicated section, you must register (this is not the same as registration) in order to be able to generate, certify and manage the paper FIR, and download the copy countersigned and dated by the recipient. Producers of non-hazardous construction and demolition waste are exempt from the XFIR requirement.
