No income tax, agricultural diesel and redundancy pay for fishermen

A significant package of measures to support agriculture and fisheries. The exemption from personal income tax (IRPEF) for farmers has been confirmed for another year. The extension of tax relief on agricultural diesel has been confirmed, with a budget of one billion euros allocated. There is a strong commitment to innovation in the agricultural sector, with 160 million allocated to ‘Agricoltura 4.0’, under which the tax credit scheme has been extended until 2029.

There are significant developments for the fishing industry following the formal introduction of a wage replacement scheme in the event of a crisis. Having included fishermen amongst the beneficiaries of the Solidarity Fund, the budget measures ensure that the sector has access to the Wage Supplement Scheme for Agricultural Workers (CSOA).
