Elon Musk (xAI)

Musk was one of the first major tech entrepreneurs to warn of the risks posed by artificial intelligence. Even before the rise of ChatGPT, he was talking about the possibility that highly advanced systems might slip beyond human control, whilst continuing to invest heavily in the sector.

His stance has become even more apparent with the launch of xAI. Despite direct competition with OpenAI and Anthropic, Musk unhesitatingly backed Amodei’s appeal, simply commenting: “Dario is right”. The convergence between these two figures, who are often at odds, has been interpreted as a sign of growing unease within the industry.
