Emilia. ‘Ferrara Sotto le Stelle’ is taking place at the Castello Estense

Ferrara Sotto le Stelle is celebrating its 30th anniversary; it is one of Italia’s longest-running festivals and one of the most popular events of the summer festival season. Following two special previews – Tom Smith’s intimate concert at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara and Tortoise’s performance at Link 2.0 in Bologna – the festival has announced the line-up for this year’s edition, which is set to shine in the height of summer, from 22 to 30 July, taking place across the historic Cortile del Castello Estense in Ferrara and the Delizia Estense di Benvignante in Argenta (FE). Kings of Convenience, The Notwist, Les Négresses Vertes, Emma Nolde, Marlene Kuntz and Ministri are the headliners of a line-up that once again demonstrates the spirit of the festival: curious, ever-changing and enterprising, whilst remaining true to the values that have always driven it. Even in its thirtieth year, ‘Ferrara Sotto Le Stelle’ continues to evolve and branch out, bringing its varied and never predictable musical programme to life at new times of the year, creating accessible, inclusive and sustainable events where the audience is always at the centre, helping to promote the local area and strengthening the spirit of collaboration with neighbouring communities.
