Switzerland. Along the shores of Lake Lugano LongLake

From 9 to 26 July, the Lugano LongLake Festival returns – one of Switzerland’s largest urban open-air festivals: eighteen days of music, art, events and performances taking place across the city, transforming the lakeside promenade, parks and squares into a vast space for people to come together and get involved. With over 250 events, the festival offers a multidisciplinary programme bringing together big international names, emerging talents and local cultural organisations.

The LongLake Festival comprises the Estival Jazz section, featuring major concerts in Piazza della Riforma; Blues to Bop, an event taking place across the town centre’s squares; and Buskers, alongside street performers – all of which bring the festival’s weekends to life.

In addition to these events, there is ‘Words’, a programme of meetings and talks; ‘Family’, with activities designed for families; ‘ROAM’, the outdoor club at Parco Ciani; ‘Arte Urbana Lugano’, which brings art to public spaces; and ‘OFF’, dedicated to collaborations and initiatives carried out in partnership with independent cultural organisations in the local area. With its open and participatory spirit, the festival transforms urban spaces into places for meeting, experiencing and sharing:
