Puglia. Ottolire Our Soul in the Itria Valley

As it does every year, the fifth edition of the Ottolire Our Soul Music Festival returns to the picturesque Teatro del Bosco at Ottolire, a boutique hotel comprising trulli nestled in the heart of the Itria Valley. The festival kicks off on Thursday 25 June with a concert by Raphael Gualazzi, an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger and producer. On Thursday 9 July, Fabrizio De Andrè will perform a jazz set with musicians Pasquale Stafano, Daniele Cappucci and Fabio Accardi, featuring Badrya Razem, at the Teatro del Bosco; followed on 23 July by ‘Ritratti’, the soulful heart of Italian singer-songwriting, featuring Davide Saccomanno, Antonio Di Lorenzo, Mino Lacirignola and Nikaleo (events on the Terrace); on Thursday 30 July, ‘Cheek to Cheek’ – A tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong with Sara Rotunno, Emanuele Schiavone, Donatello D’Attoma and Giuseppe Todisco (events on the Terrace), whilst on 6 August it will be the turn of Curannera Yaraka – World Music at the Teatro del Bosco. And on 20 August, Edwards Rosa & Friends – Samba and Bossa Nova with Edward Rosa, Miriam Neglia and Giuseppe Palazzo, whilst on 27 August, ‘Music and Words’ – A tribute to great women and their courage with Pietro Verna, Gabriele Zanini, Leo Torres and Alberto Di Leone.Outside the festival programme, on Thursday 2 July, a reading of ‘Paolo and Francesca from Canto V of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno’, presented by Gianni Vacchelli.
