Ferrari Luce colours and rims

The launch colours are Azzurro la Plata, Giallo Luce, Rosso Dino, Bianco Artico and Rosso Fiammante. The Giallo Luce, developed ad hoc, recalls the historic yellow of the Ferrari logo, also present on the hubcaps and in the central part of the steering wheel. It is a choice that combines institutional reference and a desire to distinguish the model. The Luce is not only presented with the traditional red imagery, but with a palette designed to underline its position in the range. The rims are even more significant. Ferrari claims for the Luce the largest diameters ever adopted on one of its road cars, with 23 inches at the front and 24 inches at the rear. The technical data sheet indicates 265/35 R23 tyres at the front on a 9.5 channel and 315/30 R24 tyres at the rear on an 11 channel. The first is a forged rim with five open spokes, the second has an aerodynamically optimised turbine design. The latter is inspired by the turbine shape of a jet engine and reduces drag by around 5 per cent by minimising wheel slip without compromising brake cooling.The tyres were developed with Pirelli, Michelin and Bridgestone to reduce rolling resistance by 15 per cent without compromising grip in dry and wet conditions. The range includes two dry tyres, two winter tyres and a runflat. The aim is to make the most of the electric all-wheel drive and torque vectoring logic, contributing to range, stability and natural driving feel. The mass of the wheels was also the subject of specific work. Despite the increase in size compared to the rest of the range, the declared weight is on average 6 kilograms less in the respective best weight configurations. The braking system has also been optimised thanks to extended regeneration, with 390 by 34 millimetre discs at the front and 372 by 34 millimetres at the rear.
