Harley-Davidson Sprint 440

According to rumours, Harley-Davidson may be set to broaden its horizons by turning its attention to the mid-capacity segment: it could do so with the Sprint 440, a model expected in 2027 that aims to attract new motorcyclists to the Milwaukee-based brand. The new model is expected to share its technical platform with the Hero X440, developed as part of the collaboration between Harley-Davidson and the Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp. At the heart of the project is said to be a 440 cc single-cylinder engine, delivering around 27 cv and 36 Nm of torque – figures that suggest a primarily road-going purpose, with a particular focus on ease of riding and running costs. The name ‘Sprint’ evokes a historic model name for the brand, whilst the styling is expected to combine classic elements with compact proportions. However, the final specifications, price and whether it will be marketed in Europe remain to be confirmed. The Sprint 440 could represent a significant step in Harley-Davidson’s strategy to attract a wider customer base, without compromising its identity.
