In Bangladesh anti-waste instructions to civil servants

In Bangladesh on 3 April 2026 the government ordered civil servants to 'cut electricity use by switching off unnecessary lights and limiting air conditioning' while the state-owned Petrobangla company introduced 'four-hour-a-day supply cuts at petrol stations'.
