Summer nights: ten places to experience La Luna del Cervo
In Val D'Ega stop at the Astrovillaggio
Low light impact, proximity to the stars and a sky officially recognised by Astronomitaly as one of the most beautiful in Italy: these are the characteristics that inspired the 'foundation' in 2012 of Europe's first Astrovillage in the Val d'Ega area between Cornedo all'Isarco, San Valentino in Campo and Collepietra. On the day of the full moon, you can opt for the night excursion with astrophile and astrophotographer Steffi Wolters (scheduled every Thursday), a short but dazzling experience that answers questions ranging from the birth to the death of a star, satisfies curiosities about galaxies and allows zodiac-themed digressions. Although clouds are a rarity, the Planetarium South Tyrol offers 53 places to admire the celestial vault in all weather conditions. The calendar of guided tours can be viewed at www.planetarium.bz.it. Finally, on 12 July at the Astra gourmet restaurant, the Full Moon Event combines the passion for observing the celestial vault with that for good food.
