Security in Italy: small towns win, Florence and Milan fail

Leading the ranking for "Justice and security" is Oristano, which returned to the top after a lacklustre performance in 2024. In general, the 'quietest' provinces are the medium-small ones, without great geographical distinctions. The situation instead remains very critical in the metropolitan cities. Florence and Milan remain last and penultimate. Rome is 104th and therefore fourth last, Bologna 102nd, Turin 101st, Naples 99th, Genoa 98th. Looking at the perception of insecurity and comparing it with the Crime Index, one can see that most of the time statistics and feelings are not too far apart.
