The success of Trento, first ranked in the Quality of Life 2025 survey, stems from the combination of long-standing policies and recent initiatives, such as investment in children.

The Autonomous Province aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the area with strategic investments, innovation and support for families. A strategic asset is the research system, with about 5,000 employees and 350 million spent annually. One example is the 'Proof of Concept by Trentino' programme to transform ideas from research into start-ups.
