Surfing beaches and cycle paths from Casal Borsetti to Marina di Ravenna

To the north of the Riviera Romagnola among the nine Ravenna lidos there is a small town known for its low tide where tellinas are still harvested, halfway between the sea and the lagoon, with perfectly maintained 1960s-style bathing establishments, where peace and quiet alternate with an environmental and tourism redevelopment project. We are talking about Casal Borsetti. Here the pine forest stretches from the mouth of the Reno river to the mouth of the Lamone river, and all year round it is possible to admire the best surfers in the region frolicking in the Adriatic Sea. Along this route, wild beaches, untouched by the hustle and bustle, dunes and pine forests peep through the trees, and there are formidable bicycle and pedestrian paths. Famous is the cycle track on the border between the provinces of Ravenna and Ferrara, in the heart of the Parco del Delta del Po, in an oasis of biodiversity and beauty represented by the southern valleys of Comacchio, a meeting point for flocks of flamingos and birds migrating from Africa to northern Europe. Less than 30 km and you arrive in Marina di Ravenna where the sandy shore is wide (over 200 metres in some places) alternating with the lush coastal pine forest that offers coolness and nature trails. We are in the heart of the Ravenna Maritime Park (in 2026 Ravenna won the award as the Italian Capital of the Sea), a green lung that connects the pine forest to the coastline, transforming the coast into a space for wellbeing, health and sharing, where every outdoor activity reinforces the deep bond between the community and the natural environment. Marina di Ravenna, known as the 'toyland' of Ravenna, is also renowned for its beach bars that organise aperitifs, DJ sets and parties until late at night.
