Scent of olives, black celery and truffles in the rural landscapes from Trevi to Montefalco

The Sant'Emiliano Olive Tree: at the roots of the landscape

The journey begins in the steep alleys of Trevi, a village that the local Pro Loco aptly describes as a 'stone snail' suspended over the plain, where medieval walls enclose noble palaces such as Villa Fabri. This residence, dating back to the 16th century and then passing through Bohemian and Ethiopian influences, today welcomes visitors with terraced gardens that offer one of the most spectacular sunsets in Umbria, while not far away, in the hamlet of Bovara, the Sant'Emiliano olive tree stands like a thousand-year-old patriarch that has surpassed seventeen centuries of life, sporting a cracked and majestic trunk that tells stories of faith and agriculture since the time of the first Christian martyrs. Walking here means entering into the culture of extra virgin olive oil not only as a gastronomic product, but as an element of identity of the territory.
