Val di Fiemme to be discovered between Santa Colomba Lake and Forte Dossaccio

Two itineraries around Predazzo deserve special attention. The first leads to Lake Santa Colomba, in the Cembra Valley, where a ring-route suitable for everyone offers the pleasure of a walk or a short bike ride through woods, clearings and a sheet of water lying on a fault separating porphyry and limestone rocks and whose history is linked to the mining history of Monte Calisio. In its depths, according to legend, are kept the treasures of the canòpi. More challenging, on the other hand, is the route to Forte Dossaccio, about 8 kilometres long, perfect with snowshoes: from the meadows overlooking the Lagorai you enter the Paneveggio forest (which still bears the signs of the Vaia storm of October 2018) to the Austro-Hungarian fort of the Great War, with the Cimon della Pala dominating the horizon.
