Da Ferrara a Comacchio, mosaico di paesaggi da scoprire in modo slow
Where to stop
Along the route that touches Pomposa, Comacchio, Ostellato, Portomaggiore and Ferrara you will encounter a series of farms and agritourisms worth visiting. Such as the Corte Madonnina winery, which enjoys a special view of Pomposa Abbey; the Il Dosso agritourism farm, which produces cured meats, sausages and fresh pasta and where you can stay while eating typical Ferrara dishes. There is also CoPeGo, a cooperative of clam breeders, which is fighting hard against the blue crab. For lovers of pampepato, a typical Ferrara cake, the Migliarino-based company Dolciaria Tina is worth a stop, while in Portomaggiore is the Il Verginese winery, a small producer of Igt Fortana wine. On the outskirts of Ferrara is the Corte dei Gioghi agritourism, a family-run facility with a swimming pool where you can also eat very well. Also worth mentioning is the agriturismo Lama di Valle Rosa, also on the outskirts of the city, which does not have a restaurant but boasts a swimming pool and wellness area, as well as a large park. To buy typical local products, there is the Ferrara Store a stone's throw from the castle.
