A slow summer in the Carnic Alps
In Sappada, the Eirl Dolomites Retreat offers a ‘slow’ approach centred on a genuine connection with the mountains. Throughout July and August, the retreat organises weekly yoga sessions by the river, combining the dynamism of Hatha yoga with forest grounding practices designed for both adults and families with children. The wellness programme is rounded off in September with Yoga Week: six days of sessions at dawn and dusk by the water’s edge. Among the highlights is the session at an altitude of 1,800 metres at the source of the Piave, followed by optional hikes to the Calvi Mountain Hut, candlelit dinners at the Alp Stube and night-time walks with headlamps in the woods, concluding the evening around the campfire.
