Art and fashion in Venice

The exhibition “Magnifica Eleganza. Tiepolo, Longhi and Guardi: Art and Fashion”, conceived by Massimiliano Capella, which explores how the power of the Most Serene Republic of Venice was also expressed through fashion, as depicted in 18th-century Venetian paintings: the exhibition features thirty-six works, including drawings and paintings by Pietro Longhi, Giambattista Tiepolo, Francesco Guardi and Pietro Antonio Rotari, original 18th-century garments on public display for the first time, and costumes designed by Danilo Donati for Federico Fellini’s *Il Casanova*, which won an Oscar in 1977.
