Trench coats in London

“The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon” is the title of the exhibition opening on 21 September at the V&A South Kensington in London, dedicated to one of the iconic garments of one of Britain’s most iconic brands: the exhibition marks the 170th anniversary of Burberry, founded by Thomas Burberry, who invented the famous cotton gabardine trench coat in 1879. On display will be rare pieces from the Burberry archives alongside others from the museum’s collection
