The F 450 GS is a lightweight medium enduro, the link between the single-cylinder G 310 Gs and the twin-cylinder F 750/850 Gs. At the heart of the design is a new 420 cc air/liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine, developed to offer full-bodied torque at low and medium revs and an estimated power output of 48 hp, also ideal for A2 licence. Great attention has been paid to weight containment, with a declared target of around 175 kg in running order, a very competitive value for the category. The main innovation is the Easy ride clutch (Erc), an advanced centrifugal clutch that eliminates the need to use the lever in most situations, simplifying riding. The steel trellis frame is paired with a 43mm Kyb inverted fork and an aluminium swingarm with a progressive single. Wheels are 19- and 17-inch. Electronic equipment includes three riding modes, Abs Pro, traction control and a 6.5-inch display with integrated connectivity.
