BMW iX3, the first model of the Neue Klasse
The progenitor of BMW's Nueue Klasse, the iX3 SUV, will be marketed in early 2026. A full-electric model that does not retire the thermal ones, it is based on a brand-new architecture, adopts advanced electronic and digital platforms and is the first of the Bavarian manufacturer's new stylistic and technological course. The line incorporates styling cues that will be found on future BMWs such as the unprecedented family style in which a vertically developed grille, reminiscent of those of the 1960s, returns, while the interior is defined by an all-new interior design thanks also to the thrust of new technologies such as the Panoramic iDrive that projects information from the windscreen with a diagonal of 43.3" in addition to the central display and the head up display. The iX3 is powered by BMW's sixth-generation electric powertrain powered by cell-to-pack batteries with a capacity of up to 108 kWh for a range of over 800 kilometres, rechargeable from systems of up to 400 kW.
