IAA Mobility 2025, the ten most important cars at the German show
Porsche 911 Turbo S, now a hybrid supercar
Immediately available in a Cabriolet version, the new Turbo S stands out from its predecessor in terms of the 711 horsepower output of its flat-six 3.6-litre twin-turbo and electrified with the evolution of the sophisticated solution developed by the German manufacturer: the T-Hybrid, which debuted with the 911 Carrera GTS. In this case, the technology includes an electric motor inside each turbine and an electric unit integrated in the dual-clutch gearbox. In keeping with the lineage tradition, the new Turbo S offers higher performance (it reaches 322 mph and revs to 100 mph in 2.5 seconds) and even more effective dynamism than its predecessor thanks to active aerodynamics, but still offers a character suited to both everyday use and when you put it to the test. Aesthetically, the new Turbo S series is distinguished from the other 911s, in particular, by more robust mudguards, more air intakes and vents scattered throughout the bodywork and details in the unmistakable Turbonite colour.
