China produces over 38% of the world's cars, surpassing the US, Japan and India combined.

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to September 2025, car production and sales in China reached 24.333 million and 24.363 million units, respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 13.3% and 12.9%.

In particular, the production and sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 11 million units, registering a year-on-year increase of over 30%.

Sales of new energy vehicles accounted for 46.1% of the total new cars sold.

In Italy, the Chinese car is mainly present with seven groups: Byb, Mg (Saic), Geely, Chery (Omoda & Jaecoo), Changan, Leapmotor and Dongfeng
