Dongfeng Motor Corporation is one of China's large state-owned automotive conglomerates, with activities ranging from passenger vehicles to heavy commercial vehicles and a long tradition of joint ventures with international brands. Its structured entry into the Italian market is recent: between the end of 2023 and 2024, the company has activated its import network, launched partnerships with local dealers and defined an expansion plan that aims for a stable national presence by 2025. The offer is driven by zero-emission models, in particular the Dongfeng Box compact electric suv, designed for the European public, and the group's premium brands such as Voyah, which preside over the high-end with electric suvs focused on comfort.

The strategy is twofold: positioning Dongfeng as a 'value-tech' alternative, while Voyah interprets the more sophisticated side of the Chinese electric.
