Leapmotor
Leapmotor is a Chinese electric startup founded in 2015 and based in Hangzhou. The brand had not operated directly in Italy until 2024, when the joint-venture Leapmotor International (51% controlled by Stellantis, 49% by Leapmotor) was formed for the European market and announced the start of sales in nine European countries - including Italy - from September 2024. The imported models include the T03 electric city car (range approx. 265 km Wltp) and the C10 SUV (range approx. 420 km Wltp) as the first global models destined for Europe.
Leapmotor's strategy in Italy focuses on technological leverage and value for money: the Leap 3.0 platform, strong vertical integration (batteries, motors, components) and a network that benefits from Stellantis distribution.
