Estonia between fairytale atmospheres and ancient traditions
A fairytale setting: this is how Estonia is transformed in winter, with the cities lighting up, the air filling with magic and the snow creating a muffled, enchanting landscape. A stay in Estonia can also be an opportunity to discover ancient local traditions. One of them is the smoke sauna, an Estonian ancestral ritual that has a rejuvenating power and has earned a place of honour on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list. At the Mooska farm, immersed in the tranquillity of nature, you can enjoy an authentic and profound experience: a sensory journey among aromatic woods, regenerating silences and the enveloping warmth of a practice that speaks of roots, well-being and spirituality. During the winter season, amid snowy landscapes and deep silences, cross-country skiing and swimming in frozen lakes are not to be missed. And then there is the karakat safari on Lake Peipus, one of the most unusual experiences to be had in Estonia: a safari on board customised vehicles, built by local fishermen on large aircraft tyres that make navigation on the lake safe in winter. Not to be missed is the husky sledding experience. Excursions are available for guests to discover the training centres in Kõrvemaa, where, in addition to snow riding, they can get to know these extraordinary companions up close.
