Landscapes, experiences and discoveries in green Denmark
Foraging in Fiona's forests
Known as the Garden of Denmark, The Land of Everyday Wonder, is a large island and eponymous archipelago south-west of Copenhagen that has retained a wild and authentic charm. Famous as the birthplace of the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen, Fiona is a natural territory with a huge number of castles (123) and islands (more than 400). It has beautiful parks, gardens and picturesque coastal landscapes that are at their most blooming in spring. To be explored on foot, but even better by bicycle, in a setting that perfectly embodies the concept of slow tourism. In addition to Odense, Andersen's hometown, which is a must-see, Funen offers many opportunities to discover many other corners of the island. Among the experiences to be had is foraging for wild garlic (ramson) in the forests of Funen: spring walks amidst nature and intense fragrances, with the possibility of harvesting and using it in the kitchen (pesto, flavoured salt). https://www.visitfyn.com/fyn/experiences/ramson-forests-fyn
