Green holidays in Kufsteinerland

Kufsteinerland. Le vie ciclabili di Kufstein TVB Kufsteinerland (Simon Hausberger)

It is the only tourist destination in the Tyrol, with Seefeld, to have been awarded the Ecolabel, the sustainability certification awarded by the Austrian government to resorts with a low environmental impact. The Kufsteinerland and its eight villages (Ebbs, Erl, Bad Häring, Langkampfen, Niederndorf, Niederndorferberg, Schwoich, Thiersee), plus the medieval town of Kufstein, rely on green mobility made possible thanks to an efficient public transport network, accessible free of charge through the Card of the same name provided to each guest by the accommodation facility. Buses departing from the railway station in Kufstein take you to the bathing lakes, to the starting points of the hiking trails and to the chairlift for climbing up to the heights and walking in nature. The Kaisergebirge nature reserve, in particular, is a protected environment characterised by alpine scenery of limestone formations, which can be visited on various marked trails, some of which are also suitable for bicycles. An event not to be missed, scheduled from 18 to 20 July, is the Yoga Festival.
