Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof: zero km philosophy

In the middle of a large garden, under century-old trees, stands a picturesque Biedermeier castle in the Nassfeld/Hermagor/Pressegger See holiday and excursion region. Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof was built in 1848 as the residence of a well-known industrialist of the time. Today, Hans Steinwender and his wife Gerhild run the castle with 20 rooms, the farm and a high-quality restaurant. Only products from the farm and those from around 80 neighbouring producers are used here. In 2015, the Steinwender family embraced the zero-kilometre philosophy and 90 per cent of the food comes from the Gailtal and Gitschtal valleys, or from Carinthia.
